# Ingredient List:

→ Ice Cream Base

01 - 2 cups whole milk
02 - 1 cup heavy cream
03 - 3/4 cup granulated sugar
04 - 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
05 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
06 - Pinch of salt

→ Mix-ins

07 - 1/2 cup marshmallow fluff or crème
08 - 1/3 cup caramel sauce
09 - 1/2 cup mini chocolate fish or chopped chocolate pieces

# Directions:

01 - In a medium saucepan, whisk together milk, cream, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Heat over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture is hot and the sugar is dissolved. Do not boil.
02 - Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Pour the mixture into the Ninja Creami pint container. Cool to room temperature.
03 - Cover the container and freeze for at least 8 hours or overnight until the mixture is completely solid.
04 - Process the frozen base in the Ninja Creami using the Ice Cream setting until it reaches a smooth consistency.
05 - Create a well in the center of the processed ice cream and add marshmallow fluff, caramel sauce, and chocolate fish or pieces.
06 - Reinsert the pint and run the Mix-In setting to swirl in the toppings until evenly distributed throughout the ice cream.
07 - Serve immediately for a soft-serve texture, or freeze for 1-2 hours for a firmer scoopable consistency.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • You get that premium ice cream shop texture at home without any fancy techniques or endless churning
  • The combination of marshmallow caramel and chocolate creates those elusive ribbons and swirls we all chase in store bought pints
02 -
  • The ice cream will look crumbly after the first spin which is exactly what should happen before adding mix-ins
  • Room temperature base freezes more evenly and prevents ice crystals from forming
03 -
  • Invest in good quality cocoa powder since it is the star flavor of this recipe
  • The fluff and caramel work best when slightly softened so take them out of the fridge while the ice cream processes
