Turkey Club Sandwich with Turkey Bacon (Printable)

Satisfying triple-decker with tender turkey, crispy bacon, fresh vegetables, and creamy mayo on toasted bread.

# Ingredient List:

→ Proteins

01 - 4 slices turkey bacon
02 - 6 oz sliced cooked turkey breast

→ Bread

03 - 6 slices sandwich bread, toasted

→ Vegetables

04 - 4 leaves romaine or iceberg lettuce
05 - 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
06 - 1/4 small red onion, thinly sliced

→ Condiments

07 - 3 tbsp mayonnaise
08 - 1 tsp Dijon mustard
09 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper

→ Other

10 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

# Directions:

01 - Cook turkey bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, approximately 4-5 minutes per side. Transfer to paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.
02 - Toast all bread slices until golden brown. Optionally spread each slice lightly with softened butter while warm for enhanced flavor.
03 - Spread mayonnaise and Dijon mustard evenly on one side of each toasted bread slice, ensuring full coverage to the edges.
04 - Place first bread slice mayo-side up. Layer with half the lettuce leaves, distribute half the turkey breast evenly, and arrange tomato slices. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
05 - Place second bread slice mayo-side down onto the stack. Spread mayo on top side. Layer with half the cooked turkey bacon, additional lettuce, tomato slices, and red onion if desired.
06 - Finish with third bread slice mayo-side down. Press gently to compact layers, then secure with toothpicks at each corner.
07 - Slice diagonally into halves or quarters. Repeat assembly process for second sandwich. Serve immediately while bread remains crisp.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The triple layers make every bite feel substantial and indulgent without being heavy
  • Turkey bacon brings all the crispy satisfaction with less guilt than regular bacon
02 -
  • Inserting toothpicks before slicing is nonnegotiable unless you enjoy rebuilding sandwiches on your plate
  • Letting the assembled sandwich sit for two minutes before cutting prevents the classic slide apart disaster
03 -
  • Place tomato slices between layers of turkey or cheese to protect the bread from getting soggy
  • Use a serrated knife in a gentle sawing motion rather than pressing down hard to cut
